guitar lessons with sean smith
My guitar lessons are 60, 45, or 30 minutes long. I am currently offering lessons on Zoom or in person at my home out in the garden.
In your lessons you can expect to cover the following and much more:
Instrument basics, tuning, tones
Technique, picking and/or finger-style, tips and tricks
Theoretical concepts & applications
Ear training/listening
Reading and interpretation of TAB and notation
I always prefer to work with music my students are interested in. I think that learning music you enjoy will help maintain a healthy and productive energy toward your practice. Every song or piece of music contains relevant concepts vital to your growth and enjoyment of playing guitar. It is my passion to help you unlock and understand everything we decide to work on. I have developed many cirricula, but personalize every lesson with each student. It is important to me that you are always making progress and feeling inspired.
